Varsity Silver

Tom Train

Former Texas Tornado great Tom Train joins FIHA this season as the JV Silver Head Coach. Tom played for the Tornado for four seasons from the 2002-03 season to the 2005-06 season where he helped the Tornado to three straight National Championships in that time frame, two of which as team captain. He had 142 career points as a Tornado player, but his best statistical year came in 2004-05 when he had 69 points in just 55 games. Tom then went on to play for  the University of Alabama-Huntsville in the NCAA Division 1.  In his junior and senior season he was named assistant captain. During his four-year career, he helped the Chargers to two CHA titles and two NCAA tournament appearances. After his college career he signed with the Texas Brahamas in the CHL.  Tom also coaches the Texas Tornado U-16 NAPHL team. 

Denny Reagan

Former Texas Tornado standout Denny Reagan is entering his first season of coaching. Denny is from St. Louis Missouri and recently moved back down here to take a front office job with his former team. Denny played for the Tornado from 2002-2004. He ended his junior career by winning a National Championship and registering 28 goals and 30 assists in only 50 games. After the Tornado Denny played two years of Division 1 college hockey for the University of Alabama in Huntsville followed by one year of professional hockey in the UHL and SPHL.

JV Silver

Mike Hogan

 Coach Mike Hogan is entering his 11th year with the Frisco Ice Hockey Association. Over the past 10 seasons, he has served 7 years as a Head Coach for Varsity Silver, JV Gold and JV Silver. He also served 3 seasons as an assistant at the Varsity and JV levels. Prior to joining Frisco, he served 3 years as the Irving Varsity Head Coach. Mike has also been a Head coach with DJHA the past 3 seasons at the Mite level.

Mike was born and raised in Sarnia, Ontario where he participated in youth hockey at all levels. He was also active in Basketball, Football, Track & Field and Swimming. He moved to Dallas in 1998 to attend school. Mike is married to Andrea and has 3 children – Cullen-9, Ethan-7 and Mackenzie-5.

Matt Andres

 Matt is originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin.  He played High School hockey at Ashwaubenon, WI and then went on to play college hockey at the University of Wisconsin, Stout from 1992-1997.  Since moving to Texas, Matt started coaching hockey at the mini-mite level with the DPSC.  He has spent the past 3 seasons with DJHA at the Mite and Squirt levels.  He has also coached the past 2 seasons on the Frisco JV Silver staff.
