Peter Courcy's Jersey Retired

Peter Courcy’s jersey was retired Thursday during a ceremony at the Alumni Game and will hang at our home ice at the Frisco StarCenter. “We hope those not lucky enough to know Peter, personally, know how much he meant to us, our team, our school and our community.” Said Julie Bullis, co-founder of the Frisco Ice Hockey Association.

His mother, Mary Bush, said, “It’s the greatest honor to Peter because he always wanted to have his hockey jersey retired, and so he’s getting it.”

Mayor Maso was in attendance and we had news coverage by Channel 8 and Channel 4. A special thanks to past President of the FIHA, Mark Henry, for his tireless effort to get Peter’s jersey hung at the StarCenter and to coordinate a fitting tribute to one of our FIHA family members.
